646f9e108c Duke Nukem returns to his platforming roots in this throwback to his earlier games. This time, Duke fights his way across New York city's towering skyscrapers and through its gritty subway stations on the hunt for power-hungry villain, Mech Morphix. Mutants of every kind are thrown at Dukehe chases Morphix through eight large environments and avoids the green slime called GLOPP that's the cause of all the chaos.
I got this game a few month after its release. At first, I started to remember, how I played previous Duke Games to feel the game, then I got more and more progress in "kicking ass" job. Hell, it was great fun after beating "those freaking aliens" back in 1996!! Some levels were really tough, but I swear I NEVER used any cheat to get through. Just after five months I managed to finish all skill levels and found all those Nukes and about half of secrets. I was very pleased to know, that there are bonuses you get, when you finish each skill level with all Nukes. And to say why I didn't cheat: I just didn't have Internet at that time and I really hate to read anything, even magazines about games.
-May Contain Spoilers- Duke Nukem, often referred tothe "King of hardcore Action!" If you've never heard of him, you're missing out. Duke is a man with three simple wants and needs in life: A cold beer, A hot babe, and a sweet ride. Unfortunately,is often the case for heroes. Something is getting in his way.<br/><br/>In this particular game, we see Duke Nukem being called in to deal with an outbreak of "mutations" across New York city, and soon after that the game begins, quickly revealing there is something sinister behind these mutations.<br/><br/>While it certainly isn't the best game in the series (an honor reserved for Duke Nukem : Zero Hour and Duke Nukem 3D), it is still a charming throwback game, even six years after its initial release.<br/><br/>If you're craving more Duke action while we wait for Duke Nukem Forever, and haven't given this one a try, I recommend you try and pick it up on Ebay or Amazon. Its definitely worth at least one play.
